Evolution of the Pi Network Project: First Messages from PiCoreTeam #4 years ago

With joy and anticipation, we embark on a fascinating journey into the origins and evolution of this captivating project.

On March 14, 2019, the Pi Network Core Team, including Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, Vincent McPhilip, Dr. Chengdiao Fan, and five other members, convened in a celebratory event marking the strides made by the Pi Network project. Pi Network, focused on establishing an accessible decentralized digital currency for ordinary users, had attracted substantial interest since its inception.

This first article marks the beginning of a special series in which we will explore the messages and updates posted on the dedicated chat channel for the founders, where the three initiators of the project have the privilege of communicating directly with the community.

In this journey, we aim to reveal not only the technological evolution of the project but also the spirit and commitment of the community that has supported it. We will turn back time, exploring the initial moment of the project when ideas were fresh and dreams were grand.

This first article presents the messages posted four years ago on the founders' chat channel, offering you a unique perspective on the beginnings of the Pi Network project. In future posts, we will continue to explore messages from the following years, bringing you closer to the evolution and development of our community.

Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis - Head of Technology
An expert in blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, Dr. Kokkalis is one of the founders and creators of the Pi Network project. He brought his bold vision and technical expertise to the development of the platform.

Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the team and the community for their unwavering dedication and support, which had been instrumental in transforming the project from a mere concept into a tangible reality.

Chengdiao Fan - Head of Product
Chengdiao Fan has contributed and continues to contribute to defining the architecture and key functionalities of the project, alongside Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis.

Fan highlighted the team’s tireless efforts in refining the Pi Network’s infrastructure and engaging with the growing user base. These endeavors were aimed at establishing a robust foundation for the project and enhancing the overall user experience within the Pi Network ecosystem. 

Vincent McPhilip - Head of Community
Although no longer active in the project, he was one of the founding members and played a significant role in the initial stages of the development of the Pi Network project.
 
At that time, McPhilip was responsible for fostering a strong and engaged community around the Pi Network project.
